After the sale of the family insurance business in New Westminster, Martin Kastelein started his notary practice. Martin quickly became well known as “Martin the Notary”.

As a full time BC notary public for over 34 years, Martin and his team specialize in Real Estate Transfers, assisting clients to create a Will, preparing Enduring Power of Attorney documents, Representation Agreements and Advanced Directives. As the first BC Notary to have a website (launched 1999), he is known in the notary and real estate community as a professional who leverages the use of technology to provide premier service to his clients.

In 2019 Martin expanded his team and in 2020, to mark the beginning of a new decade, he made the decision to rename his practice New Westminster Notary Public to honour the community that his practice has served for so many years.

Martin’s notary practice is a frequent supporter of local charities such as Union Gospel Mission and Ride for Refuge. When not at his desk, Martin can be found somewhere in BC training for a cycling event, fishing, kayaking or snowboarding.
